“ In the seven years since I’ve moved to East Tennessee, this is hands down the best BBQ that I’ve found. I grew up in Texas and lived for a few years in Memphis. I’ve also had the opportunity to eat great BBQ at various places around the country and other parts of the world. The food at Smokey Q is all made from scratch to include the pickles. The pulled pork was moist and perfectly seasoned with just the right amount of smoke. They had a variety of homemade BBQ sauces to choose from that were excellent. The green beans were made from scratch and the potato salad tasted just like my mom used to make. Although I had to make a 45 minute drive to get there, it was totally worth it. I will certainly be back. ”

“ Great people and great BBQ a little off the beaten path but great food. They are open Thursday, Friday and Saturday. We both wanted turkey but got there late and there was only enough for 1 dinner. That worked out because the brisket was very good. ”

Smoked Mac & Cheese and baked beans. The ribs were unbelievably good and tender. Especially tender. The Smoked Mac & Cheese was excellent. Don’t let the storefront appearance exterior mislead you. Smokey Q is excellent. ”

“ After ensuing on a hunt to find delicious food, we decided on The Smokey Q Company and it did not disappoint! We were greeted with smiles and delicious smells. Staff was fantastic, knowledgeable of the menu, and hospitality was definitely their gift! It was like walking into an old friend's kitchen. We ordered ribs, pulled pork & chicken, a brisket sandwich, their loaded baked potato special, corn pudding, potato salad, and smoked mac and cheese. All of the meats were delicious, tender, flavorful, and not overly smokey which allowed the meat to shine. The mac and cheese was the most popular side with a mild smokey flavor and a little kick to set it off the creamy pasta. All of the items were delicious and had a homemade southern feel that made you feel like you were at Granny's for a family grill out. The homemade pickles had a perfect combination of sweet and tart, an experienced hand was definitely at work there! Overall the food was excellent, quality ingredients and care were put into every dish. The dining room is quant, made for quick eating. No frills, just great food! An outside picnic table was available to eat outside when the weather is right. Facility was clean and they definitely take pride in everything they do! Seeing the kitchen from the counter was an excellent touch as you watched busy hands excited to share their delicious menu! Don't go anywhere else, this is the spot! ”
